Ignite Aspiration

We have all been motivated before, right? Whether it’s something we see or hear, an event we go to or someone telling us something that we would like and see a possibility. We get motivated to take action and do something, right?

But despite our desire to stay motivated, there are just days when we just don’t feel like it and that’s fine. Don’t beat yourself up. It happens to everyone and it’s pretty difficult to have the same level of motivation all the time, day in and day out.

Now, you would ask, “What is better than motivation?” Many would say it’s inspiration. But even inspiration can wear off. Inspiration can come and go. It seems to stick around a little longer than motivation, but that state of “inspiration” or “in spirit” is hard to maintain.

So, what should we do? Go after aspiration!

It can alter your DNA, can change your life and the life of others forever. The way we can ignite aspiration is by finding someone we aspire to emulate. Whose personality do you want to sample? Whose footsteps do you want to walk in? What legacy do you want to leave your family? Ask yourself these questions.

I know many of us would want to avoid them. It’s a lot easier to feel that you have no control, that you are forced to be in the situation you’re in. It’s easier to complain. That should not be the case for you!

You are a lot more powerful than you think you are or give yourself credit for. If you fall into that trap and play the game everyone else is playing, you’re no different. The reason you are reading this article is that you are looking for something different, right? Well, good news, you have found it.

Now, what are you going to do about it? What kind of action are you going to take today? Are you going to sink or swim? It’s really that simple. People tend to make drastic leaps forward towards success once they have experienced a huge amount of disappointments or failure. What makes them different is that they did not quit or give up. They had made up their mind that failure was not an option. They were aspired and believed to see themselves already at the finish line.

The sad part is that most people give up when they are near that last turn, just three feet from gold. That is why having a coach or a mentor helps. I heard about a high school coach recently that was pushing his cross country team ever day to run further and further.

All the kids on the team thought that he wanted to kill them or wanted to see them collapse. At the end of the season though when they won their regional tournament with ease, they realized that he did not want to kill them, instead, he was pushing to increase their endurance.

Do you know how lucky we all are to live during these times of having massive amounts of knowledge and information at our fingertips? Look at all the successful people around us. I don’t focus or give my attention to the problems in the world, I focus on all the amazing breakthroughs and possibilities.

So, pick someone you aspire to be like and go for it. Put an image in your mind and also give yourself visual reminders all around you. I post pictures on my vision/dream board and that helps keep me focused and serves as a daily reminder to work on my real estate business.

How much are you willing to endure? Evaluate your risk continuum. Where are you now and how far will you go?

In order to see a big change in your life, expect a big challenge to come your way. In life, you should have regrets about what you did, not what you didn’t do. Start with a list of your blessings, with the first one being your health, your family or loved ones, and living in this country. Aspire to be like “________”, now fill in the blank.

To your success,
